My work is a collection of abstract nonrepresentational photographs, comfortable in their ambiguity. I am not searching for meaning in my subjects, nor am I purporting lofty goals of capturing humanity or idealistic, monumental beauty. I am attracted to the subjects of my photos when the imperfect elements join elegantly in aesthetic perfection, suggesting purpose and design. When an object or space's function has dissipated, and when the lines, colors, and textures are in unintentional balance, the natural organization of form elicits a direct and powerful emotional response.
